The highly anticipated Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open kicked off Thursday and promises a guarantee of $10 million.

The event featured a $5,300 unlimited re-entry until the close of registration.

Familiar faces playing in Day 1 included David “Doc” Sands, Isaac Haxton, Chino Rheem and Erick Lindgren.  Most notably was the arrival of Matt Savage, who just underwent intensive emergency cervical stenosis surgery after suffering a head injury while on a waterslide.  Savage was released from the hospital yesterday evening.

Larry Mullin, COO Seminole Gaming said of the Hollywood, Florida event, “This destination deserves a tournament like this.”
