UBOC Kicks Off With Sniper NL Hold ‘em Event
UB's Online Championship Tournament Series launches today, with UBOC 1 to be hosted by UB Pro Annie Duke. Wednesday, January 20th is shaping up to be a hectic night at the felt for players at the CEREUS Poker Network, where the kickoff of UBOC 2010 and the recently announced Play for Haiti fundraiser take centre stage at UB and Absolute Poker.
The midweek line-up at the pair of popular online poker sites is headlined by the first of 18 UBOC events, the Sniper No Limit Hold ‘em 6 Max $300+20 buy-in tournament, hosted by Team UB's Annie Duke; tagged as UBOC 1, it's scheduled for 20:05 ET and has a $250,000 Guarantee.
"We've re-jigged our online championship tournament schedule this year to make it even more appealing and accessible to more players," said UB Cardroom Consultant Annie Duke. "Come join me for some super-charged UBOC action, and a share of over $4 million in prize money."
Also on the agenda tonight is the Play for Haiti charity tournament at 20:30 ET, a $5+0 buy-in Turbo Rebuy tournament capped at 750 players. UB and Absolute Poker will join forces to match the prize pool, donating 100 percent of the money raised to the Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief Fund.
When players have shown their true generosity in the Haiti fundraiser, they can do something good for themselves and sign up for the $200+15 buy-in UBOC 8 Satellite at 20:50 ET. Finish in the top ten in this event to earn a satellite seat at the UBOC 8 $2500+100 Deepstack Sniper NLH event event on January 24th, the first of two UBOC $1 million Guaranteed tournaments.
