Walter Fisher Leads After Day 3 of PCA 2015 Main Event

Walter Fisher is leading for Day 3 of the PCA Main Event with 175 players left. The 33-year-old American, who finished 12th in the LAPT Bahamas Main Event, has 497,000. There were 816 entries in total, generating a massive $7,915,200 prize pool. As well as the $1,491,580 cash prize & coveted PCA 2015 trophy, this year’s champion will also receive a “Steel” watch from luxury Swiss brand SLYDE, the Official Watch Sponsor for the PCA Main Event, High Roller and Super High Roller. We start Day 3 just 56 players off the money; 119 players are getting paid with a min-cash worth $17,800.

Day 2 began with a 514-strong field and among those who made it through were Team PokerStars Pros Liv Boeree (247,100), Andre Akkari (161,100), ElkY (212,400), Daniel Negreanu (295,600), Leo Margets (91,300), Jason Mercier (49,000) and Jonathan Duhamel (77,700). Team PokerStars SportStar and football legend Ronaldo is enjoying one of his deepest runs in a major tournament and bagged up 146,300 in chips. PokerStars Team Pro Online also did well; the following are all through: Naoya Kihara (301,800), Marc-Andre Ladouceur (119,900), Mickey Petersen (103,800), Jorge Limon (54,800), George Lind (93,200) and Day 1a chip leader Alex "Kanu7" Millar (57,700).

Qualifiers thriving 
The Day 3 players also include a bunch of players who qualified for nothing or just a handful of $$$, such as Canadian PokerStars freeroll winner Jeffrey Michels, Columbian Mega-Path qualifier Laura Garzon, who is here for 6 FPPs and 
Tomas Biliunas from Lithuania, here for 10 FPPs. Sebastian Freudenberg from Germany qualified for $4 while Ludwig Fernstrom and Andrew Wayman both spent just $11 to win their $16k PCA packages.
