WPT World Poker Finals Final Table Set
The 2010 WPT World Poker Finals table has been set and a winner will be determined on Tuesday (November 2, 2010). The event is taking place at Foxwoods. The grand prize in this event will be $548,000.
The last of the big name poker pros, Hoyt Corkins and Jason Mercier, were eliminated early in the day.
Boonton, New Jersey player Tom Marchese led the pack. He has live tournament career winnings of $1.8 million to date, much of that coming from a first place finish at the 2010 DeepStack Extravaganza - PokerStars NAPT Event Season 1. He is currently ranked number two among Bluff Poker’s Players of the Year.
US-based player Mohsin Charania has 7 cashouts in live tournaments totaling just over $100,000.
Maryland resident Nikolai Yakovenko has 4 cashouts in live tournament play totaling just over $100,000.
Long Beach, New York’s Dave Inselberg has cashed out 7 times and has just over $125,000 in live tournament winnings.
Keven Stammen of Ohio has cashed out 26 times and has earned over $800,000 in career live tournaments to date. He has two first place finishes, the biggest of which was the 40th World Series of Poker 2009, Event #13 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em, which paid over $500,000.
