WSOP No-Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em: Shulman Tandem Falls Short

The father and son tandem of Barry and Jeff Shulman failed to capture bracelets in their individual World Series of Poker events.

Father Barry finished 8th in the WSOP Event #19 – No Limit Hold’em where he walked off with a cool $53,669.

Cliff Goldkind, a 24-year-old student from Potomac, Maryland, was declared the champion Monday night, earning his first ever World Series of Poker bracelet.  That $559,514 win will also go a long way towards paying off all those student loans we suspect.

2302 players entered the No Limit Hold’em event.

Meanwhile, Jeff Shulman managed to finish 3rd in the Limit Hold’em event with a payout of $92,562.

That event, which featured a pool of just 166 players, was won by Benjamin Scholl.  This is Scholl’s first WSOP bracelet.
