New York Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, better known by most as AOC, has seen her odds shift from 25-1 to 9-1 to become the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.  She's moved from 50-1 to 18-1 to win the 2028 Presidential Election.  This change all came on Tuesday May 27.  So what gives?

AOC renewed her calls for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a campaign email published Monday evening.

“I believe that ICE, an agency that was just formed in 2003 during the Patriot Act era, is a rogue agency that should not exist,” an Ocasio-Cortez campaign email said Monday slamming critics that consider the far-left congresswoman “extreme.”

A majority of voters actually reject the congresswoman's calls to abolish ICE.  They don't reject her though apparently.

Headlines during the holiday weekend read "AOC would trounce Chuck Schumer in primary as party leader ‘bleeding support’ from Dems"

The 35-year-old now leads Schumer among Jewish Democrats 45%-33% with 17% undecided, the poll found.

California Governor Gavin Newsom still leads among gamblers at Kalshi to be named the Democratic nominee at 16% while AOC was seeing 11% of the support.
