CNN was reporting that Hillary Clinton would not be the running mate for Senator Barack Obama on the Democratic Presidential ticket, helping to further fuel rumors that Delaware Senator Joe Biden would be his pick.

Shortly before midnight, ABC News was told that a secret service detail was coming to pick up Biden at his home.

Biden had become a huge favorite to be named Obama's running mate at online gambling website Bookmaker.com this week.

A senior Democratic official who had spoken with Clinton told CNN late Friday that the Obama campaign has communicated to her through private channels that she will not be Obama's vice presidential pick.

The Obama campaign has also asked for Biden aides who are ready to go on the campaign.

Biden sources to CNN are very busy tonight, and there would be no need if he were not it.
