Scott Walker appears to be losing ground in Iowa as Donald Trump picks up the lead according to a new Suffolk University poll conducted August 7-10 immediately following Thursdays first GOP debate.  Scott has dropped to second place at 12%.  Trump was coming in at 17%.

That survey shows Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in third place at 10%, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 9% and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tied for fifth at 7% each.

Ohio Governor John Kasich, believed to have benefitted from Thursday’s debate, has begun surging in New Hampshire along with Fiorina, this according to a Boston Herald/Franklin Pierce University poll.

Trump was listed at 6-1 odds of being named the Republican nominee for 2016 US President.  Carly Fiorina was at 20-1 odds following a solid debate performance earlier in the evening that caught on in the Twitterverse.  Kasich was not yet listed at Sportsbook.ag.

Jeb Bush was not even polling in the top five in Iowa.  He maintained a second place spot in New Hampshire after Trump.
