West Virginia primaries

The Democratic primary for Senate in West Virginia is among the least competitive races Tuesday. Granted, West Virginia's two House races are just as noncompetitive.

Senate Races

West Virginia Democratic Primary

Jeff Kessler -2000

Zach Shrewsbury +700

Rachel Fetty Anderson +3300

Rio Phillips +3300

Thorton Cooper +6600

(NOTE: Odds imply Kessler has a 95% probability of victory)

House Races

West Virginia-01: Democratic Primary

Brit Aguirre -1500

Vince George +600

(NOTE: Odds imply Aguirre has a 94% probability of victory)

West Virginia-02: Democratic Primary

Ace Parsi -2000

Steven Wendelin +700

Stephanie Spears Tomana +2000

(NOTE: Odds imply Parsi has a 95% probability of victory)

Each are Democratic races where the Republican is almost certain to win come November.  This includes Jeff Kessler, who should sail to victory Tuesday at -2000.

West Virginia voters registered with a political party may vote only in their own party’s primary. In other words, Democrats can’t vote in the Republican primary or vice versa. Independent or unaffiliated voters may vote in the Democratic or Mountain Party primaries but not the Republican primary. Voter ID is required.
