Kamala Harris Now Dem Favorite and GOP VP Odds Suggest 2 Finalists
Political odds continue to swing like a pendulum every passing day, and that trend continued following a Joe Biden press conference that included him referring to his Vice President as "Donald Trump". Following that appearance, Biden's odds slipped to +550. By Friday morning, they sat at +650.
Earlier in the evening, Biden referred to the Ukraine President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as "President Putin" while speaking at the NATO Summit.
“And now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination,” he said.
Pausing for effect, he concluded: “Ladies and gentlemen – President Putin.”
Donald Trump has been a constant as the favorite for president, but the democratic nominee odds are in a constant state of flux.
By Thursday, BetOnline.ag made Kamala Harris the odds-on favorite for the nominee. Joe Biden's chances have slipped, and now the odds of him dropping out of the race before the Democratic National Convention imply that will happen.
For the 2024 Election, Trump was a -185 favorite with a slight tick to -175 Friday morning while Harris is listed at a little higher than 3/1 (+325).
Of course, everything could change tomorrow, and we'll send out updates if anything major shifts in terms of the odds.
Trump will finally name his running mate in the next few days and, at least according to the odds, there are two candidates that stand above the rest. Doug Burgum remains the favorite but J.D. Vance is closing the gap. Marco Rubio's odds have fallen immensely since Monday, now at 6/1.
