Bad news for GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney as Sportsbook.com has just informed us that his odds of becoming the next President of the United States are 4/1, the longest we have seen since May of this year.  The payout would be $40 for every $10 bet.  Barack Obama’s odds were now slashed to 1/4.

This news comes amidst controversy surrounding a secretly recorded video from a Florida fundraising event whereby Romney is heard telling prospective donors that 47 percent of Americans see themselves as “victims” who feel entitled to government assistance.

The New York Times also noted that, with the exception of two polls in Colorado, all polls in the so-called swing states, place Obama ahead by at least four points. On average, he led by 5.8 percentage points between these 16 surveys.
