Steve Hilton Would Pay Out $2000 on a $100 Bet to Become California's Next Governor, Nithya Raman Pays $140 in LA Mayor's Race

The end results of California's primary elections are finally starting to trickle out, so let's go ahead and look at where the odds lie.

The 2026 Gubernatorial race will be between Xavier Becerra and Steve Hilton. Hilton is a longshot to become California's first GOP governor in 20 years.

Xavier Becerra 1/20 (-2000)

The above odds give Hilton just a 13% chance of pulling off an upset. Becerra's margin of victory odds are over/under 25 percent.

In the race for the next Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass is a slight favorite over Nithya Raman. The odds are very tight, however, which is more indicative of a tossup election.

Finally, voters in Maine looked the other way when it came to Graham Platner's alleged transgressions as he's projected to capture roughly three-fourths of the vote for the Democratic Senate nomination.

Platner will challenge Senator Susan Collins in November. He's currently favored to take the election, but again, it is very close in terms of the odds.
