Record Turnout for First Day of Early Voting in Georgia
Georgia voters did not waste time heading to the voting booths. Within six hours of polls opening on Tuesday, the presidential battleground state had posted record turnout for the first day of early voting.
Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer for the Georgia secretary of state’s office, said that more than 154,000 people had voted by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, beating the daylong tally of 136,000 from 2020. By 4 p.m., Mr. Sterling said, close to 252,000 people had been to the polls.
While early voting typically favored Democrats, the Republican party has been urging its base to vote early this year as well.
Nearly five million Georgians voted in 2020, when Joseph R. Biden Jr. carried the state by 12,670 votes. He was the first Democratic presidential nominee to win Georgia since Mr. Clinton in 1992.
County officials began mailing domestic absentee ballots last week; military and overseas ballots were distributed last month.
Trump Dances for 38 Minutes, Charlamagne Tha God Interviews Harris In Detroit
In what is the craziest thing that I've ever seen in politics, Donald Trump spent the last 38 minutes of his Pennsylvania townhall just listening to music and dancing on stage, alone. 8 different songs played in that time. This is more embarrassing than Biden's debate. Sad! pic.twitter.com/Fu8Wec2moy

Meanwhile, Charlamagne Tha God interviewed Kamala Harris on his show "The Breakfast Club" Tuesday afternoon.
This was billed as an Audio Townhall with Kamala Harris and Charlamagne Tha God” an hour-long town hall-style event hosted live in Detroit, Mich where the vice president fielded questions.
Just 25 days before the 2024 elections, iHeartRadio’s Charlamagne Tha God will have an important and thought-provoking discussion with the Democratic nominee for President of the United States on a variety of significant topics about the election.
In addition to a thorough discussion about the election, Vice President Harris will answer some questions from voters across the country.
"Our listeners are very passionate," said Charlamagne during his morning show. "I want local voices from Detroit and voices from all the battleground states to get the opportunity to ask Vice President Kamala Harris some questions. I know we got some pressing issues to talk about. The future of the nation is decided by who we elect."
