WBC Orders Stevenson-Zepeda Bout Amid Doubts
The World Boxing Council (WBC) has officially ordered a title defense for lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson against mandatory challenger William Zepeda. This announcement has sparked discussions among boxing fans and analysts, with some expressing excitement for the stylistic matchup and others questioning whether the fight will actually take place. Oscar De La Hoya, involved in the promotion, has hinted at Zepeda's freedom to choose his fights across different sanctioning bodies, suggesting potential obstacles to the matchup. Despite the anticipation, skepticism remains about the fight's realization, with some speculating that promotional issues might prevent it from happening.

Trump Officially Selects JD Vance as VP
Former President Donald Trump chose Ohio Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate on Monday. BetOnline had his odds surging last week to 2-1.
Vance is a onetime critic who became a loyal ally and is now the first millennial to join a major-party ticket at a time of deep concern about the advanced age of America’s political leaders.
“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social network as the Republican National Convention got underway in Milwaukee.
The 39-year-old Vance rose to national fame with the 2016 publication of his memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy.” He was elected to the Senate in 2022 and has become one of the staunchest champions of the former president’s “Make America Great Again” agenda, particularly on trade, foreign policy and immigration.

Latest Odds Imply Trump 75% Probability for Election
As expected, the shooting incident that occurred yesterday in Pennsylvania has bolstered Donald Trump's chances of being re-elected in November, according to the odds.
"Following the disturbing event that happened Saturday evening, we immediately suspended betting odds for all political markets," BetOnline.ag political oddsmaker Paul Krishnamurty said. "Everyone could anticipate the public reaction, so we adjusted the odds accordingly and moved Trump from -200 to -250 for the presidency. Since then, we've seen nothing but Trump money come in."
The current 2024 Election odds from BetOnline.ag are below. Trump is now a -300 (1/3) favorite, equating to a 75% implied probability.
Additionally, due to the shooting (and the expectance that the Democratic will ultimately lose the White House), Joe Biden has moved to a larger favorite to be the Democratic nominee and not drop out of the race.
Finally, J.D. Vance has shifted to a heavy favorite to be announced as Trump's running mate. Vance's odds are now 5/4 (+125), but Doug Burgum is close behind at 2/1.

15 Remain in WSOP Final Table Including One Woman
- Kristen Foxen is the last woman standing in this year's WSOP main event.
- Foxen is no stranger to the world of poker. Foxen began playing poker in her freshman year at college. She played online in 2006 under the alias krissyb24 (PokerStars) and krissy24 (Full Tilt Poker).
- To date, only one woman has made the final table of the World Series of Poker main event. That was Barbara Enright in 1995, prior to the big poker boom of the 2000's. Enright finished 5th that year.
- “I’m just hoping that I can show other women not to be intimidated. To feel confident, like we belong here. Let’s beat them if we want to,” Foxen told WSOP.com.
