Good news for Republican U.S. Presidential candidate and neurosurgeon Ben Carson as he is now tied with frontrunner real estate mogul Donald Trump in the Iowa polls.

Carson remained a bit of an enigma at online bookmakers however, with 9-1 odds of becoming the Republican nominee.  Carson trailed the likes of Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker at Sportsbook.ag.

Trump had moved to 3-1 odds, just behind Bush’s 2-1 odds.

“Either the gambling community is slow to react or they may know something we don’t,” observed Gilbert Horowitz of Gambling911.com.  “It’s more likely the early action is nominal and both books and gamblers are not as quick to react to latest polling.”

A Monmouth University poll in Iowa has both Trump and Carson tied in Iowa at 23%.
