#TrumpACandy Trending After Son’s Skittles Comment: So Too Are His Odds

GOP nominee Donald Trump is taking some heat Tuesday for comments his son, Donald Jr., made about Syrian refugees, comparing them to Skittles candies.  As a result, the hashtag #TrumpACandy began trending on Twitter with tweets comparing The Donald to candies such as “Babe Ruthless” and Hershey’s Creepy Daughter Kisses” and “Reese’s Hair Pieces”.

"This image says it all. Let's end the politically correct agenda that doesn't put America first. #trump2016," Trump Jr. tweeted, with a graphic that said: "If I had a bowl of skittles and I told you just three would kill you. Would you take a handful? That's our Syrian refugee problem."

Meanwhile, the GOP candidate’s odds had been trending upwards with a slight change of momentum towards the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday as she drew even in the polls in North Carolina and had moved a bit ahead of Trump in Florida, according to a newly released Elon University poll.
