Eli Junior Kroupi: Next Club

A new market has emerged with Eli Junior's next club favoring Barcelona at -300 with a 75% implied chance. Bournemouth attacker Eli Junior Kroupi has sustained a metatarsal injury to his foot during preseason training and will miss the next 3-4 months, putting a significant crimp into Spurs’ summer transfer window plans (as well as everyone else’s who were pursuing a move for Kroupi this summer).  This was among the day's most volatile markets.

Robinhood Posted Record Quarterly Revenue as Prediction Markets Surged and Beat Wall Street

Federal Judge Rejects CFTC Bid to Stop Wisconsin Prediction Market Crackdown

A federal judge on July 29 denied the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) request for a preliminary injunction to block Wisconsin from enforcing its gambling laws against prediction market platforms offering sports event contracts. The court found the agency unlikely to prove such contracts qualify as swaps under the Commodity Exchange Act. The ruling leaves Kalshi, Polymarket, Crypto.com, Robinhood, and Coinbase exposed to state enforcement despite their federal CFTC registration.  The ruling strips another federal shield from CFTC-registered platforms, forcing Kalshi and Polymarket to defend contracts market by market against state gambling charges. 

Binance.US to File CFTC License Application for Prediction Markets — Exchange Aims to Challenge Kalshi and Polymarket

Binance.US CEO Stephen Gregory announced the company’s intention to launch its own prediction market at the Rare Evo conference. A DCM license would allow Binance.US to offer clients event contracts–binary yes/no futures.  According to Gregory, the application will be filed in August 2026. It’s part of a broader strategy to revive the exchange, including fee reductions, market share growth, and market maker recruitment.

SCOOP: @BinanceUS plans to apply to the @CFTC for a Designated Contract Market (DCM) next month with the goal of offering prediction markets to customers, CEO @Stevie_Satoshi just told me on stage at @RareEvo Conference.
