CFP, Heisman Odds Shift Dramatically Following Upsets
(Panama City) - Alabama, Clemson and Tennessee all lost in Week 10 of college football, and the aftershock produced a seismic shift in terms of the odds.
We updated our CFP Championship chances Sunday morning, and Georgia is the clear-cut favorite with almost even-money odds.
Georgia was tied with Ohio State last week with around 2-1 (+200) odds, but after the Tennessee throttling and Ohio State's struggles against Northwestern, the Bulldogs are now top dogs.
Alabama went from a one-loss team with 4-1 odds going into Saturday, to now a two-loss team with 55-1 odds.
Clemson's odds did not change following its loss to Notre Dame while the Volunteers dropped from 8-1 to 14-1.
Michigan marginally improved its chances, going from 8-1 last week to 7-1, currently.
TCU, which remains undefeated, moved from 60-1 to 33-1.
In the Heisman Trophy race, Hendon Hooker lasted all of one week as the favorite. His Vols looked putrid against Georgia's defense, and now he's dropped to second on the Heisman odds board.
Wolverines running back Blake Corum went from 16-1 to 6-1 while Oregon's Bo Nix vaulted from 50-1 odds to 9-1.
