Triple Crown Chances for Goldie and Judge; ROY a Tossup Between Teammates

Aaron Judge blasted his 60th bomb last night, and his chances of becoming just the second Triple Crown player since 1967 improved.

Judge is leading in all Triple Crown categories (HRs, RBIs and batting average), and after having 50-50 odds to finish the season in the same spot this past Monday, he's now a -175 favorite to do so.

Will Aaron Judge win the Triple Crown?

Yes -175

No +145

The above odds from SportsBetting.ag imply a 63.6% probability that Judge will accomplish the historic feat.

Paul Goldschmidt is also chasing down a Triple Crown. The NL MVP favorite is second in batting average, tied for fourth in home runs (trailing by 5) and second in RBIs (trailing by 9).

With 16 games to play, Goldie's chances are as good as Judge's. The below odds equate to a 28.6% implied probability he will hit the marks.

Will Paul Goldschmidt win the Triple Crown?

Yes -175

No +145

Should Goldschmidt and Judge both reach their Triple Crown bids, they would become the second duo in MLB history to do it (Jimmie Foxx and Chuck Klein in 1933).

Finally, there are odds for just three MLB player awards remaining, as the other categories all have favorites of -10000 or greater.

The NL ROY is the tightest race we've seen in years at this point in the season.
