Princeton Stuns Arizona, Line vs. Missouri Opens +6.5
New Jersey is among the biggest sports betting states in the US. With that in mind, bets were likely to be heavy coming in on the home town team, Princeton, in this year's NCAA Tournament.
Princeton, a number 15 team, stunned number 2 seed Arizona Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It's reminiscent of another New Jersey Cinderella team going deep last season, the St. Peter's Peacocks. They made it all the way to the Elite Eight. They, too, were a No. 15 seed that beat a No. 2 seed (Kentucky). They also became the tenth No. 15 seed in history to upset a No. 2 seed. Princeton become the eleventh team to do so.
Princeton coach Mitch Henderson, who played for Princeton in the 1996 upset of UCLA, said, "We've enjoyed the UCLA win for a long time. These guys get that opportunity now."
Princeton opens as a +6.5 underdog versus Missouri on Saturday.
The Princeton Tigers are 5-0 Against The Spread in their last 5 games overall.
