Raid on Mar a Lago Impacts 2024 Presidential and GOP Odds

A Monday search of former U.S. President Donald Trump's sprawling Palm Beach, Florida home Monday has caused a shift in the 2024 Presidential odds that now favor Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis has the lowest odds to be the GOP Presidential Nominee since the market was set following the 2020 Election, according to SportsBetting.ag.

2024 GOP Nominee Odds

Ron DeSantis +115 (previously +125)

Donald Trump +130 (previously +140)

Trump confirmed the raid late Monday.  He was in New York City at the time.

The U.S. Justice Department declined to comment on the search, which Trump referred to as a raid of Mar-a-Lago.

Eric Trump, one of the former president's adult children, has since stated that the search involved boxes of documents that Trump brought with him from the White House.

A federal law known as the U.S. Presidential Records Act requires the preservation of memos, letters, notes, emails, faxes and other written communications related to a president's official duties.

Immediately following the raid, Gambling911.com received an influx of searches for Which Non Extradition Country Trump Will Flee To Odds, which were also provided by BetOnline.

Trump's 2024 Presidential odds also took a hit, while Joe Biden and DeSantis improved their positions (Trump still has the second-best odds to be elected).

2024 Presidential Odds

Ron DeSantis +250 (previously +275)

Donald Trump +350 (previously +300)

Joe Biden +450 (previously +550)

Finally, the chances of Trump being indicted in 2022 increased after yesterday's raid (Yes odds were previously +185).

Will Donald Trump be indicted in 2022?

Yes +155

No -220
