Guardians @ Padres Recap

(June 16, 2023) - We got destroyed in this one in the first inning as the total nearly went Over by its conclusion (8 runs scored).  We hit the Over by the top of the 2nd inning.

Needless-to-say, this was a total disaster but Logan Allen needs to be watched for the bounce back in his next start.  He pitched 3 innings and was charged with five runs.

Ryan Weathers was worse for the Padres, allowing 7 runs to be scored.

Guardians @ Padres

(June 15, 2023) - Cleveland will be a +110 dog in San Diego Thursday.

The 24-year-old lefty has delivered a 3.31 ERA over his first nine big league starts with nearly a strikeout per inning.

Prior to getting roughed up in his past outing against the Houston Astros, Allen had held opponents to three or fewer earned runs in eight consecutive outings.

It should be noted that the San Diego Padres lineup sports a top-five wRC+ (116) in June.

The Padres start Ryan Weathers, who is 1-4 with a 4.93 ERA.

Weathers gave up one run over three innings on Saturday in a no-decision against the Rockies and is pretty desperate for a win here.

Six of the Guardians last ten games have resulted in Cleveland scoring four or fewer runs.  San Diego has been scoring of late.   But outside of the last game against Houston, opposing teams have not scored more than 4 runs total in a game where Allen as started (8 total games).

Allen has the ability to pitch into the 7th inning as well.

The Guardians are 0-6 in their last 6 interleague road games.

Under is 17-8 in Padres last 25 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5.

Do Take the UNDER 8.5 Here
