Week 6 @ Iowa State Cyclones

The Wildcats come into Iowa State as a mere -1.5 favorite.  The number has come down off the -2.5 from earlier in the week.  We get a number of 0.96 favoring KSU. There had been a 1.5 overlay and the line is pretty much on the money now.

The two games this season that we analyzed reaching 2.5 but staying below the 3 where the line at some point was on the money have both resulted in the underdog covering.

North Carolina (+1.5)+2.5 to +3  versus App State, the dog covered with UNC winning by two points.

Oklahoma State +2.5 vs. Baylor finished with the road dog Oklahoma State covering and winnng by quite a lot.

In both these situations the road team was the underdog.  That is not the case here.

Week 3 vs. Tulane Green Wave

Kansas State's only loss so far this season was to Tulane at home as a -13.5 favorite, one of those games that makes you go "Huh?".

The Wildcats lost 17-10 in that one.

The Green Wave stopped the Wildcats on fourth-and-short twice in the third quarter and again in the fourth prior to the game-winning drive. K-State finished 1 for 5 on fourth down.
