Texas was No. 4 on the Sagarin Ratings with a number of 88.88.  They were ranked No. 20 in the nation coming into this week.

With home field advantage (2.10 this week), the number would become 90.98.

Iowa State had a number of 79.75.

This gave us a line of Texas 11.23.  The actual line was -14.5 to as high as -17 and back down to -15.5, representing an Underlay of 3 to 5.5 points.

The Longhorns rallied to win 24-21 but failed to cover the spread.

Quinn Ewers threw for three touchdowns, including a 3-yard pass to Xavier Worthy that put Texas up for good with 4:43 remaining.

October 8 vs. Oklahoma Sooners (in Dallas)

The line was moving from Texas -5.5 to -8. Texas covered the spread with a huge win.  At -5.5 the line was on the money, but became a 2 point overlay once moving to the 8.

We saw a similar result with Arkansas +6.5 to +8 vs. Mississippi State whereby the Bulldogs covered and won big.  This game featured an underlay of 2 to 3.5 points.

October 1 vs. West Virginia

West Virginia +10 to +7.5 vs. Texas.  The Longhorns covered the spread and won by 18.  We got a final line of Texas 7.86 for this game.  At -10, there was an overlay of 2.  At +7.5, this one was on the Money.

September 24 @Texas Tech

Texas was the -5 to -7 road faovirte versus Texas Tech but the home dog Red Raiders not only covered the spread but won outright by 3 points.  With a number we got of 7.2, the one was mostly on the money from Tuesday onward.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
