Sports Handicapper James Acker Not Fooled By Mavs-Lakers 'Trap'

Yesterday was a really tough day for us.

We wanted to jump all over the LA Lakers for all the obvious reasons.

The Mavs were playing the second of a two-night stand following a win against the Memphis Grizzlies Monday.

Luka Doncic (low back contusion), Derrick Jones Jr. (left quad contusion), and Tim Hardaway Jr. (back spasms) were listed as questionable for the Mavs while we already knew Kyrie Irving (right heel contusion), Josh Green (right elbow sprain), and Maxi Kleber (right small toe dislocation) were are all out for Dallas.

The verdict:  No way the Mavs would have enough left in the tank to win Tuesday night's game.

Sure enough every top capper at the G911 Sports Hub backed Dallas as well.....all except one it seemed.

James Acker was the lone dissenter, picking Dallas +1.5 at home.  In our opinion, Acker is among the more astute sports handicappers with a record to show for it.  He's currently 18-13 this season in the NBA, 7-3 with his last ten NBA picks and 6-2 in his last overall eight picks.  It is his overall performance we find most appealing (60-39 and 5th on the G911 Sports Hub leaderboard).

Despite our inclination to go with the Lakers, we sat Tuesday night out.  Wise choice.

The Mavs being just 22nd in the NBA in rebounding provided another temptation almost too great to pass up.  We did thankfully.

Something else that made us hesitate besides the Acker play: Favorites opening at 2 or 2.5 are now 10-3 Against The Spread over the past three weeks.

About James Acker

Mr. Acker wasn’t content with retirement and jumped into the handicapping business to show all of the young guys he could crush them. Everyone at Sports Hub couldn't be happier to have him onboard. He’s not interested in complex algorithms. James utilizes a simple approach to sports handicapping that has generated huge profits the last several years.
