Sports Handicapping Central - NBA November 29
Yesterday we had a loss with the Miami Heat, who kept it close until the final minutes, and a push with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The latter did pay out for most gamblers as we had them +3 and they lost by three points against Minnesota. Many of you had them at +3.5, at least early on. Favorites came on strong going 5-2.
Wizards @ Magic - The line opened at +9.5 and moved to +10 Orlando. While we are detecting an underlay and the Wizards are coming off a rare win, Washington is 9-0 Against The Spread versus the Magic when using the current number and there is no way we are backing Washington. Underlays in this line range have performed decent enough for the favorites, at least early on. Most of the cappers at the G911 Sports Hub were backing the Wizards though one of the top cappers, Tonny Ricci, was on Orlando here.
Lakers @ Pistons - LA opened as a -7 road favorite. That's a slight overlay with the line moving to 7.5. Pistons are 5-0 Against The Spread using this number at home against LA the last five.
Suns @ Raptors - Phoenix is the -2 favorite here with the line darting up to -3. This one is on the money as the Suns look for a 6th straight victory.
76ers @ Pelicans - Philadelphia opened as a -1 point favorite. We get a number of -2 and that's the number the oddsmakers moved to.
Jazz @ Grizzlies - The line here was +4.5 Jazz. Utah is 5-2 Straight Up in the last seven meetings. We get a number of Memphis 2.45, suggesting an overlay of around 2 points. Overlays under 5 points have tended to perform well for the dogs so far this season. Oh, and we love that some of the top cappers are backing Utah. The Jazz are just 1-7 on the road but the Grizzlies are yet to win one at home.
Clippers @ Kings - LA opened as a -1.5 favorite but we have the Kings at 3.35. Sacramento is coming off a one-point win against the Warriors in a hard-fought game. Do they have enough left in the tank this evening against a tough Clippers defense? They've won the last three versus LA.
