Despite losing some key players during the offseason, many experts, as well as the oddsmakers, believe Baltimore will still be a Playoffs contender.
They will play in a very tight AFC North division where even Cleveland looks improved coming into 2013. They would pay out $220 for every $100 bet to win the AFC North. Those are okay odds, though we would prefer something closer to 3/1 or +300.
Their odds of winning a 2nd consecutive Super Bowl were set at 40/1.
They were favored to win 8.5 or more games at -125. The UNDER 8.5 was priced at -105.
Baltimore figures to have trouble on the road against Denver in Week 1. They will be challenged once again vs. Houston, a team that clobbered them last season by a final score of 43-13.
Other teams that probably will have Baltimore’s number are Green Bay in Week 6, New England in Week 16 and the Ravens will likely lose one against Pittsburgh.
This still gives us well OVER 8.5 games that the Ravens should win.
