Alabama Crimson Tide 2014 Predictions
BetDSI.com has released their Alabama Crimson Tide 2014 predictions with a video preview appearing below. Betting on the Tide was available here.
Their odds of winning the National Championship were at 7-1. They were the second favorites to win the title after FSU. Alabama was a -155 favorite to win OVER 10.5 regular season games in 2014.
The Tide offense will look different this season as long time starter AJ McCarron is gone. The starting quarterback this season will be either Florida State transfer Jacob Coker or senior Blake Sims. The running game is solid, led by T.J. Yeldon and he is joined the backfield by Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake. The team has two very good receivers in Amari Cooper and DeAndrew White but there are some questions on the offensive line.
As for Alabama’s defense, it should be quite good. The linebackers are solid but not great like last year when they had C.J. Mosley. Senior Trey DePriest leads the way and is supported by Reggie Ragland and Reuben Foster. The secondary has some question marks as the only returning starter is Landon Collins.
Probably the key to a successful season will be if the defensive secondary comes together and the new starting quarterback lives up to expectations.
