Alabama Crimson Tide College Football Prediction 2013: SEC, BCS Good Value
Gambling911.com has your Alabama Crimson Tide 2013 College Football prediction as we attempt to figure out the outcome of each week’s regular season games.
Odds to BCS Championship (2014) – 3/1
Odds to win SEC 4/5 (bet $5 to win $4 profit)
Regular Season Wins Total OVER 11 at -115
Regular Season Wins Total UNDER 11 at -115
Alabama received 58 of a possible 62 votes to land the top spot in the preseason coaches poll, marking the third time in program history it's been ranked No. 1 to start the year.
Obviously the odds to win the SEC at 4/5 presents some great value. We’re not quite sure who else can top Alabama. Okay, maybe Georgia or South Carolina. But winning the SEC is still a good bet.
Which games have the potential to keep the Crimson Tide UNDER the 11 win total in 2013?
With Texas A&M we still don't know what will become of this team should Johnny Manziel be suspended. If he plays, the Aggies stand the best chance of defeating Alabama.
Marq Burnett of the Aniston Star:
Virginia Tech and Frank Beamer are not an opponent that should be taken lightly, but with a full offseason for Tide coach Nick Saban and his team to prepare, the Hokies chances of pulling the upset are slim to none.
Mississippi State always plays Alabama tough, but the Bulldogs are usually more bark than bite.
LSU is a trap game because the Tigers lost a lot of talent from last year’s team, in particular on defense, and some surely will count them out. But unlike most programs, the Tigers have the ability to plug in athlete after athlete to help fill holes. The good news is that Alabama gets this game at home after another bye week. The bad news is that the Tide is facing an always unpredictable Les Miles with something to prove.
Alabama stands a shot of losing to either Texas A&M or LSU, probably not both. This would result in a PUSH for the season wins total so Gambling911.com doesn’t see much value there.
