Some are already calling Saturday’s game the “Game of the Year” where the top-ranked Tide will try to overturn the Texas A&M team led by one of the best quarterback’s in college football.
This game will be a hard-nosed battled with the Tide trying to avenge their 2012 loss against the Texas team that managed to keep Alabama from getting the undefeated glory they were seeking last year.
Action doesn’t seem to be enticing for A&M just yet, and that’s mainly because of last year’s game in which Johnny Manziel made headlines for leading the Aggies to a 29-24 upset, being touted as 13.5-point underdogs. Manziel’s Heisman win definitely added icing to the cake, and the upcoming game will mark only the second time in college football history that the reigning trophy winner will be squaring off against the national champion in a regular-season battle.

Let’s not discredit Alabama, the team rolled over Virginia Tech 35-10 and is getting a week off to prepare, meanwhile A&M dropped the hammer on Sam Houston State 65-28. Even with a 403 yard Manziel game, Alabama is not exactly going to just be easy pickings for the quarterback.
Bettors are factoring in Nick Saban as being 7-1 when faced in revenge spots, even though some aren’t so quick to give that notion too much weight when it comes to the spread. The last two games were no brainers for bettors, with Alabama covering the spread at a 21.5-point favorite, and Texas A&M easily covered at a 35-point favorite knocking out Sam Houston State without much complication overall.
