Arizona has a two game winning streak, and that alone is making for an interesting game this week. They are good overall, and Carson Palmer has changed a lot of it for the better. With a good amount of offensive weapons, this team very well may shock the 49ers, who have a tendency of underestimating opponents. The Cardinals may have a win streak at the moment, but they can easily slump if they are hit hard by the San Francisco secondary. Look for the 49ers to hit hard and fast on defense early on, and establish a dominant scene in the early quarters.
The 49ers offense is also quite good, so that Cardinals will have to do more than they have been doing to stop the run game. The statistics show that they are great at shutting down the run, ranked high for that. The passing game can be a problem though, but if the Cardinals get to the quarterback, we’re going to see the San Francisco offense crumble. This is not an easy task, but it’s one that is for sure possible, it’s just a matter of staying on point and moving forward.
The Match Up:
Michael Floyd is not going to be able to a superstar this week. Rashard Mendenhall may have a shot, but has battled to stay in the games due to injury. The 49ers defense will need to fight hard to stop the run game as the Cardinals are going to try and finally get this going. It’s with that in mind that this game may go into the favor of Arizona, because the 49ers have a tendency of going weak after a win. They are not perfect, and it will showcase again here. Look for the Cardinals to come out swinging, and stun the San Francisco defense enough for them to establish a solid run game. It’s optimistic, but they are doing something right for a change, so they may end up doing it again for a 3 game win streak.
