On paper, Game One appears to be one of those matchups that will result in five or fewer runs. what was supposed to be Monday’s game features a total of 7.  This game has been postponed for Tuesday at 4:10 pm EST as part of a double header due to rain on Monday.  The Mets were listed at -162 with St. Louis at +150 Tuesday.

Noah Syndergaard will start for the Mets.  He failed to factor into the decision his last outing but comes into this game with an impressive 9-4 record with a 2.43 ERA.

Syndergaard has only permitted more than three runs once this season.

In St. Louis last season, he allowed just two runs in seven innings with a total of five runs scored that game.

Meanwhile, Carlos Martinez has permitted just 11 runs in his last 61 innings pitched.

The UNDER is 11-3-1 in the Cardinals last 15 games vs. a right-handed starter and 6-0-1 in Martinez’s last 7 starts overall.

The UNDER is 7-1-1 in the Mets last 9 vs. a team with a winning record, 5-1 in the Mets last 6 home games and 11-3 in Syndergaard’s last 14 starts during game 1 of a series.

WE WILL BE ON THE UNDER 6.5 HERE
