The Chicago Cubs visit the New York Mets on Saturday night on FOX. On paper the pitching matchup would seem to be a really good one with Jake Arrieta going against Noah Syndergaard but neither pitcher is pitching as well as they did earlier this season.
ATS Stats
Arrieta is 12-2 on the season with an ERA of just over two but he has allowed 12 runs in his last 28 innings including five runs last time out against the Reds. Syndergaard was shelled by the Nationals last time out and there are rumors that he is pitching with a bone spur. The Cubs had won six of the last ten against the Mets before this series began with two of the last three going under the total. The teams had split their last ten in New York.
