PITCHING MATCHUP: Royals RH Ian Kennedy (4-3, 3.03 ERA) vs. Indians RH Josh Tomlin (7-1, 3.79)

The OVER is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings in Cleveland and 6-2 in Tomlin’s last 8 home starts vs. KC.  He’s also permitted at least one home run in eight of his last nine starts overall.  8 of the last 9 games in which Tomlin has started have resulted in more runs than the current total of 8.  His last start marked the first time all season Tomlin has failed to make it at least five innings.

The OVER is 10-1 in Kansas City’s last 11 overall and 7-1 in Cleveland’s last 8 overall.

Kennedy has been solid this season, allowing two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts and not allowing any runs the last time facing Cleveland.  He allowed just one unearned run on three hits and five walks with six strikeouts over six innings Monday against the Rays in a no-decision. (Mon May 30)
