Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-4 SU, 3-3 ATS
The Bucs had a chance to win last week but their defense couldn’t stop Washington at the end of the game and Tampa Bay lost 31-30. Tampa’s offense was solid as quarterback Jameis Winston played well but the defense blew a 24-point lead. "All losses really hurt, but you have some that really leave a deep scar," Bucs coach Lovie Smith said. "And this is definitely one of those." Tampa is scoring about 23 points per game but they are allowing nearly 30 points per contest. The Bucs have gone over the total in four of their six games this season.
Atlanta Falcons 6-1 SU, 4-3 ATS
The Falcons scraped by last week and got a 10-7 win over Tennessee. The once potent offense of the Falcons is now struggling. Devonta Freeman has been carrying the load for the Falcons and he had another 100-yard rushing game in the win over Tennessee. "We've got to fix what we've got going on," wide receiver Julio Jones said. "We came out here to get a `W' and we got the `W' and it's on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ... It wasn't pretty, but it just shows that we're going to fight to the end." The Falcons are turning the ball over and committing too many penalties. "We are disappointed with the turnover [and penalties], especially the one resulting in a long play coming back from Devonta, so those are the ones we would like to have over," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said.
