BYU Odds to Win the 2015 College Football Championship, 2014 Season Wins
BYU odds of winning the 2015 College Football Championship were set at a crazy 300/1 at Sportsbook.ag. Oddsmakers had them pegged to win 9.5 regular season games in 2014 with the UNDER slightly favored at a -120 price tag. The OVER was priced at -110.
The Cougars head coach Bronco Mendenhall has led this school into a College Bowl game in all of his nine years at BYU. Last year they finished with an 8-5 record
The Cougars will have 14 returning starters on both sides of the ball this year.
BYU is an independent school that will face seven opponents they went 6-1 against last season.
Only Texas has shorter odds of winning this season’s College Football Championship with Boise State also coming in at 300/1 odds, though this is a road game. This is a school that can conceivably win 11 regular season games and may even be good enough to beat Boise State on their own field.
Crazier still is that Brigham Young destroyed Texas last season, one of the biggest upsets in 2013. The Playoffs are almost a certainty should they repeat this feat and not suffer any upsets of their own. The OVER 9.5 looks very enticing here though. Winning the Championship at a 300-1 price might be worth a small bet with the new playoffs system in place this season.
