Chiefs Offense Should be Better
The Kansas City Chiefs finally have a top receiver with Jeremy Maclin coming over from Philadelphia. The Chiefs looked really good on offense in the preseason and Maclin has already developed a good chemistry with quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs already have one of the top running backs in the league in Jamaal Charles so if Kansas City has any type of passing attack they should be vastly improved on offense. Charles will be facing the Texans for the third time in his career. He ran for 93 yards against them in 2010 and 86 yards in 2013.
Texans Continue to Improve
The Texans were pretty good last season under head coach Bill O'Brien and this year they could be even better with a new starting quarterback in Brian Hoyer and a defense that is finally healthy. The Texans have J.J. Watt on the outside, newcomer Vince Wilfork in the middle and linebacker Jadeveon Clowney right behind them. O’Brien said Clowney will be a part-time pass rusher on Sunday. "I don't know if I have a pitch count yet ready for him for the first game," O'Brien said. "He's come a long way. We've done a lot of things with him that involve contact, that involve a lot of the moves that he's going to have to make, whether it's in the running game or dropping into pass coverage." The defense may have to do a lot early as Brian Hoyer and the offense will be without running back Arian Foster who is injured.
