The Detroit Lions will get tested this week against a Packers team that is showing some real strength as of late. The Lions have some nice moments of glory, and they have definitely showcased a good overall grasp of the football, but can they hurdle across the Green Bay defense? The two will meet in a clash in week 5.

Some experts are saying that this is a must win for the Packers, and we are going to agree with the sentiment. You’ll find that if Green Bay doesn’t win this one straight out, they are going to be in a hard place against other teams in the league. They will need to play perfect on both sides of the football if they are going to lift themselves past the Detroit Lions.
The Lions haven’t won against Green Bay on the road in a long time. We’re talking about a very long time, as they haven’t won since 1991! That alone should be giving you an idea of what may happen this week as these two teams meet once again. The defense of the Packers isn’t exactly the greatest, and if they don’t bring up their game, they may see Matthew Stafford throwing a great deal, as he’s already racked up over 1200 yards this season alone. They do have some faces back in for this game, but will it be enough?

This game is going to be interesting, especially if the Lions open up the passing game with their runs. You’ll find that the intrigue will be all about hitting the Packers up front with the run game to open up the passing, a lot more. There has been a lot of talk about the passing game of the Lions, and with this game, we may see them once again go to the air and deliver some points. The Packers are going to have to play perfect, and will want to win this one if they are planning on going ahead of schedule to the playoffs, otherwise they may be in dire straits moving forward. Look for the Lions to drop this one, the Packers are just too good at home. The Packers get the – 7 on this one, it’s their home.
