Friday night will see another epic battle in college sports, when Boise State and Fresno State hit the gridiron for a match up that is going to get really good, really fast. The battle of “The Milk Can” will definitely get interesting this time around as they head into hostile territory in Bulldog Stadium. Even though Boise has won 7 straight in this series, they are not the same team as old, and Fresno State is looking to send a real message here.
The two teams match up quite well, and analysts predict a high scoring affair with both offenses getting big aerial scores and heavy hitting ground and pound through the middle. The intriguing factor of this Friday’s game is that this could in fact be a preview of the championship, as the Mountain West and Mountain Division leaders face off in the championship game in December. The top ranked team in their division, Fresno State, will definitely be looking to dictate pace overall.

The Broncos offense gets into grooves that seem to catapult them into the winner’s column fast and easily. With that in mind, the Bulldogs will need to control that early on. They aren’t ranked high in defense, but they can still come out on top if they can just stop the running game of Boise State. Boise State’s runners aren’t going to be Heisman contenders, but they are solid up front, and Fresno needs to take control of that. The Fresno side is not going down easily either, they are definitely a team to watch out for as they can definitely play well when they figure out the other team’s weaknesses. Look for them to sew up the game once they figure things out on the defensive side. We’re going to go with a Boise State win here, just because the upset factor favors their transition into a powerhouse team.
