BetDSI.com has your Heat vs. Pacers Game 5 point spread.  Miami is a -2 road favorite.

The Miami Heat are favored on Wednesday night as they visit the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The first two games of this series were at Indiana while the next two were in Miami. The teams split their first two games at Indiana with the Indiana Pacers winning the first game 107-96 while the Miami Heat won the second game by a score of 87-83.

This contest on Wednesday night has a start time of 8:30 pm Eastern on ESPN.

Here is a look at the matchup and NBA playoff picks.

Miami’s Defense the Key

When the Miami Heat wins games it is not always because of the great play of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. They win games because they play defense. You might not even realize that the Miami Heat finished as the 5th best team in terms of points allowed this season. When the Miami Heat won in Game 2 at Indiana it was because of their defense. They held the Indiana Pacers to just 83 points. When they lost Game 1 they allowed 107 points. It is all about clamping down on defense for the Miami Heat. And they should be able to do that against the Indiana Pacers who do not have a great offense.

No Margin for Error for Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers finished with the best record in the East during the regular season but the team really has a small margin of error. They averaged just 96.7 points per game while allowing just over 92 points per contest. That is not much of a margin for victory for the top team in the East. If the Indiana Pacers play great they can beat the Miami Heat but they have no margin for error in Game 5.
