The Jets-Patriots spread had the New England Patriots -9, total 48. New York Jets 4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS.

The Jets are dominating on defense as they allow just 15 points per game with a stout defensive front and a secondary that features Darrelle Revis. The offense for New York has been much better than expected as they are 7th in the league, averaging about 26 points per game. Revis and the Jets know the Patriots very well so there should be no surprises. “We’re familiar with them; they’re familiar with us,” Revis said. “We’ve had our fair share of wins, and they do, too. Being this is a rivalry, it’s always been close.”
New England Patriots 5-0 SU, 3-2 ATS
The Patriots are scoring a lot of points led by quarterback Tom Brady who has owned the Jets in his career. Brady is 20-5 record against the Jets as a starting quarterback, including a 10-2 at home. The New England defense has not been as good as in previous seasons but they are still pretty good as they allow just over 20 points per game. The Patriots have gone over in three of their five games this season.
Series Notes
The Patriots swept the season series against the Jets for the 16th time in team history a year ago. The Patriots lead the series, 58-53-1 and they are 31-25-1 all-time against the Jets at home.

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
