This week in the Southeastern Conference, there is going to be a bit of revenge to be had when Missouri meets Vanderbilt in a game that will definitely play out in an interesting way. What some may find to be a sleeper, watch for this game to really explode in great overall fashion.

Current line: Missouri +1 ½  / Over & Under at 42

Time:  Saturday, October 5, 7:30 pm (EST) ESPN3, GamePlan

The Tigers are doing well, and they have been undefeated so far, and when they go into Nashville, they are going to showcase their skill yet again in a conference that had a lot of detractors against them at first. Last season they didn’t exactly play amazing, and their 2 – 6 record had a lot of critics saying that they didn’t belong. Then this year, all things have changed, and James Franklin has been on fire, and so have the Tigers. Vanderbilt on the other hand is excited to see them, as they will be punching in a heavy handed attempt to win again. Vanderbilt not only stunned them last season, they did so on the Tiger’s home turf.

Missouri beat up a few teams so far and they haven’t been tested quite that much, but they are definitely confident going into this game. They have a great deal of revenge on the mind, and that could serve to be distracting, as some players have already gone into the media and talked about this at large. The Tigers have a great running game, so Vanderbilt will need to focus on shutting that down, or else things will get ugly fast. Vanderbilt has moments of glory, even if their record isn’t perfect like Missouri’s is right now.

The Match Up:

Austyn Carta-Samuels will be interesting to see here, and he’s going to have to play as good as he did last week if he is going to lead his team to the win. Jordan Matthews at wide receiver is perhaps one of the best things going for the team, and that may be enough to stun the Tigers enough to concede here. It’ll be interesting to see if the Tigers can in fact exact their revenge, or if the Vanderbilt squad is hearing the commotion that is being said and will return the favor on the field with another stunning win. Look for Missouri to edge them out, but keep it close at +1 ½ .

The Edge:

Missouri +1 ½

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Missouri +1 ½
