MLB Betting Picks, Latest Trends, Odds June 13: Barn Burner in Minnesota?
We pulled off two nice wins Monday night and have three straight victories coming into Tuesday. Let’s look closely at any possible picks for Tuesday’s games. Live odds can be found here
Braves-Nationals - PITCHING MATCHUP: Braves RH R.A. Dickey (4-4, 4.73 ERA) vs. Nationals RH Joe Ross (3-2, 6.16)
The Braves are 3-23 in the last 26 meetings in Washington but the Nationals today are priced at -200.
The OVER is 8-0 in the last 8 meetings in Washington with a total of 9.5 that hadn’t moved as of late Tuesday morning.
Dickey ended a six-start drought with his best outing of the campaign, striking out a season-high eight batters and limiting Philadelphia to one run on three hits over seven innings.
Ross came through with a dominating effort in his last turn. He struck out 12 and held Baltimore's power-laden lineup to one run and four hits over 7 1/3 innings.
Rockies-Pirates - PITCHING MATCHUP: Rockies RH Tyler Chatwood (6-7, 4.37 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Gerrit Cole (3-6, 4.83 ERA)
The UNDER is 10-2-3 in the last 15 meetings in Pittsburgh. The Rockies are 2-10 in the last 12 meetings in Pittsburgh.
Chatwood has factored in the decision in each of his 13 starts, winning his last two in impressive fashion by allowing one run and four hits in each to beat the Chicago Cubs and San Diego.
After losing his season debut against Boston, Cole put together a string of eight straight quality starts before his current tailspin, during which he has been pounded for 39 hits. Cole has already surrendered a career-worst 15 home runs, more than double his total (7) from his 21 starts in 2016.
Rays-Blue Jays - PITCHING MATCHUP: Rays RH Jacob Faria (1-0, 1.42 ERA) vs. Blue Jays RH Marco Estrada (4-4, 4.04)
The Rays are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings of this series. The price on Toronto has gone up from -140 to -152.
Faria limited the Chicago White Sox to one run on three hits and two walks over 6 1/3 innings with five strikeouts in a 3-1 victory last week.
Estrada has been battered this month after coming in 4-2.
Earlier this year against the Rays, Estrada gave up 10 runs in 11 frames to fall to 1-6 lifetime against the divisional foes.
Mariners-Twins - PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners RH Christian Bergman (3-3, 4.03 ERA) vs. Twins RH Kyle Gibson (3-4, 6.52)
A hitting frenzy is anticipated this evening, enough so that even the high 11 number on the total should not act as a deterrent.
Bergman has bounced back in strong fashion since being hammered for 10 runs and 14 hits at Washington on May 23. He is allowing right-handed batters to hit .321 against him.
Gibson won his first start after returning from injury, albeit in shaky fashion, but followed that with three strong outings and is 3-2 with a 2.72 ERA against the Mariners. The OVER is 8-1-1 in Gibsons last 10 home starts.
The Mariners have scored six or more runs in six of their last ten games overall and this game should follow that trend, especially since Minnesota has yielded at least 12 runs in three of their last seven outings.
GO WITH THE OVER 10.5 HERE WHILE THIS NUMBER IS STILL AVAILABLE as it is going up to 11.
