MLB Betting Preview, Trends and Picks: June 25

Orioles-Rays – PITCHING MATCHUP: Orioles RH Chris Tillman (1-5, 8.39 ERA) vs. Rays RH Jake Odorizzi (4-3, 3.78)

The OVER is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay.

Tillman spun five scoreless innings in his 2017 debut but has struggled since while going 0-5 and has not lasted past six frames in any of his nine outings.

Odorizzi got through seven innings for the first time in eight starts Monday and limited Cincinnati to three runs on five hits over seven frames for his second straight no-decision.

Brewers-Braves – PITCHING MATCHUP: Brewers RH Zach Davies (7-4, 5.40 ERA) vs. Braves RH Julio Teheran (6-5, 4.76)

The UNDER is 11-4-2 in the last 17 meetings.  Seven of the last ten in this series have gone UNDER the current number of 9.5, as have the last three played in Atlanta.

Davies is trying to bounce back from a rough effort on Tuesday in which he allowed seven runs on 10 hits and a walk in five innings to suffer a loss against Pittsburgh.

Davies allowed three runs and eight hits in seven innings in his lone previous start against Atlanta - a no decision on Aug. 8, 2016.

Teheran allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of his last three outings but suffered a loss against San Francisco on Tuesday, when he was reached for four runs - three earned - and six hits over 7 1/3 innings.

Teheran is 2-2 with a 1.91 ERA in six career starts against Milwaukee.

The UNDER is 8-1-2 in the Braves last 11 home games vs. a right-handed starter.

Athletics-White Sox - PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Sonny Gray (2-3, 4.84 ERA) vs. White Sox LH Derek Holland (5-7, 4.48)

The UNDER is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings and 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Chicago.

Gray allowed five runs - all in the first inning - seven hits and four walks while striking out five in five innings of an 8-4 loss to Houston on June 20. His ERA is rising in the last 28 innings.

Holland permitted seven runs and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings of a 9-7 loss at Minnesota on June 20 and has allowed 22 runs in 15 2/3 frames while going 1-3 in his last four starts.  Holland is 5-5 with a 3.45 ERA in 21 games (15 starts) versus Oakland.

The home team is 9-1 in this series with Kansas City 11-2 in their last 13 overall.

Lirianio is coming off a loss at Texas on Tuesday in which he was knocked around for five runs on seven hits - two home runs - over 4 2/3 innings.  He made one start at Kansas City last season and allowed three runs - two earned - in six innings without factoring in the decision.

Hammel is thriving along with the rest of his team this month and is 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP in four June starts.  He is 4-2 with a 4.57 ERA in 15 career appearances against Toronto.
