MNF betting odds had the Ravens vs. Saints game with a line of -6.  Our free pick on this game will be Baltimore +3 as we hope to build on our 11-3 NFL picks record since Week 7 (all documented here – listed as Gambling911.com picks)

We like (not necessarily love) that the oddsmakers have not attempted to drive more action towards the Ravens by moving this line to -3.5.  We have seen some books move to -3.5 for only brief periods of times.  Such a move would help balance action as the Saints were seeing 60% of the action, which is considered lopsided for a Monday Night game.

New Orleans has lost two straight, both at home where they have been dominant in recent times.  The obvious inclinations for the betting public would be to back the Saints though we would have expected a larger volume of folks doing so.

Saints Rookie receiver Brandin Cooks (53, receptions, 530 yards) was lost for the season after undergoing thumb surgery and many believe this will have a negative impact on starting quarterback Drew Brees.

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
