This week’s line up could be quite interesting for the Philadelphia Eagles as Michael Vick is not going to play. The starting quarter back position has been one of contention as of late, and it was announced that Nick Foles will start against the Oakland Raiders this week.

The Oakland Raiders may have their best shot of winning this week against Foles. Nick Foles has been cleared this week, but he’s been hit pretty hard in the past and will most likely be losing a little of his edge in this one. Even with a perfect game, he will still be looking a bit weakened as it is always a struggle to come back to a high performance after a concussion. Vick’s absence will allow a lot of Raiders fans a little bit of breathing room in a game that will definitely be a good one to watch, if only to see whether or not Nick Foles is really as good as the Eagles are hoping. If not, Matt Barkley will be getting some snaps and he may very well surprised a lot of people.
The Eagles may have a good offensive line and good passing and running options, they are going to be meeting with the number 10 ranked defense in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders. That’s something to consider, as the Raiders were able to pressure the Steelers last week and even got one of the most impressive running touchdowns we’ve seen in a long time. Terrelle Pryor is definitely going to be looking for any zealous defensive members on the Eagles and will take them to task, much like he did last week. Don’t be surprised if he has another break out game.
The Match Up:
The Raiders may not be the greatest team in the league, they may not have a shot at getting to the Super Bowl in many ways, but they are quite good and will be able to take out a team that has been struggling with the quarterback position. There’s not enough depth on the chart of the Eagles to overcome the influences here, and you’ll see the Raiders take on a new glory with a win. Look for the Eagles to get grounded, and the Raiders to ride high for a change at – 2.
