The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have to fight their hardest to gain the upper hand against the Jets this time around. If you were to ask last week, whether or not the Jets had a major chance in this game, the answer would have been a lot different than this time around. Geno Smith has showcased enough of a fight to change the minds of many analysts. Smith looked awful against the Titans, yet looked pretty good against an Atlanta Falcons team that is hard to beat on any given Sunday.
The Steelers right now are not exactly a grand team, as they are 0 – 4 on the season. Look for them to drop yet another game, if they continue to play like they have been in the past few weeks. There’s something going on with a lot of teams that are starting out terrible this season and it’s not going to change in a week’s notice. Then again, the Steelers do have a powerful defensive flurry, one that may be enough to get the Jets off guard. Even though the Jets are coming off of an improved run, they aren’t going to be perfect.
The Match Up:
This week, the Pittsburgh Steelers have to improve on every aspect of the football. They will not only need to be a better unit, they are going to have to protect the quarterback. The offensive line should have some new found success this week, and even though some have thrown Mike Adams under the bus for some lackluster gameplay, he may surprise some. The Jets flourishing offense may again fly this week, and will definitely showcase a whole new game plan headed through this game and on to other teams. It’s way too hard to give the Steelers the nod here, as they have been proving to be a disastrous squad this year, so look for the New York Jets to come up with another win and improve on the season.
