Gambling911.com has your Rays vs. Red Sox series betting picks and daily fantasy sports plays for May 4 through 6.

The Series Overall:  The UNDER is 18-7 in the last 25 meetings in Boston though the last three games of this series played in Boston have gone OVER the total.  Under is 18-7 in the last 25 meetings in Boston.  The OVER is 21-10 in Boston’s last 31 overall.

May 4 - The Starting Pitchers: Rays RH Jake Odorizzi (2-2, 2.41 ERA) vs. Red Sox RH Clay Buchholz (1-3, 5.76)

Odorizzi went up against Boston on April 23 and surrendered one run and three hits over 6 2/3 frames without factoring in the decision.  Four of five games Odorizzi has started in have resulted in 6 or fewer runs.  He’s made it through 6 innings in all five of his starts this season.   Boston players who have more than 10 at bats versus Odorizzi have not fared well against Odorizzi.

Boston is 3-13 in Buchholz’s last 16 home starts. He has a 2.40 ERA in 19 career starts against the Rays.

Buchholz has not won in his last four starts.  He struggled Tuesday against the Jays, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk over 2.2 innings.

May 4 – DFS Picks – Red Sox players David DeJesus and Asdrubal Cabrera are the only batters with an ERA over .300 vs. Buchholz.  Together they are a combined 2-for-41 in the last seven days.  Clay Buchholz could prove to be a good starting pitcher play priced at just $6.4K.

May 5 - The Starting Pitchers: Rays Drew Smyly vs. Rick Porcello

Smyly struck out 10 batters while giving up two runs -- both via solo homer -- on four hits and a walk in six innings Wednesday against the Yankees.

May 5 – DFS Picks – David Ortiz has gone 4-for-7 with a homer against Smyly.
