Los Angeles may not have a football team, but this week in the NFL, two California teams are going to be battling it out in what very well may be a good overall match up. The San Diego Chargers have plenty to prove against an aspiring Oakland Raiders team, neither one with a clear cut edge at first glance.

The Oakland Raiders have their problems, and the San Diego Chargers have some issues that they need to work out as well, which makes this game one to watch for sure. The Raiders are going to have to do a lot more than they have been doing in the past few weeks if they are going to stand a chance in this one. The Chargers may have had some hard games in the past, but they did manage to eek out a victory over Dallas. However, they weren’t so great against Peyton Manning, so maybe they are not the team that is going to blow out the Raiders this time around.
The last three times that these teams have met, the Chargers came out on top, and therefore this may be another easy pick for some analysts. Looking at Terrelle Pryor, Darren McFadden and Marcel Reece this week may be the key to the game. Raider nation is going to be in full effect here and will most likely be on their best game against a San Diego team that is really hit or miss this season.
The Match Up:
Terrelle Pryor against Philips is an easy to see battle, but the experienced San Diego quarterback has an edge here. He’ll be able to dissect the defense a bit better than the Raiders expect, and that is definitely a dangerous thing overall. However, will the Chargers be the same team that let Peyton Manning and even Dallas score on them? If that’s the team, look for the Raiders to mop up here, but it’s not likely going to happen that way. Look for the Chargers to clean this one, although it will not be an easy game for them, at – 5, they still get a solid favor.
