This Thursday two college football programs will be fighting to stay alive in their conference and it should get interesting. Texas will fight Iowa State in a game that will definitely have some good moments, and some terrible consequences for the loser.

The Longhorns haven’t had the perfect season that they most likely envisioned, and it’s going to be rough to get them going this week. They lost at the hands of BYU and Ole Miss, making their season a bit tepid to say the least. On the other hand the Cyclones aren’t exactly a huge team to beat on paper, but they are definitely gaining momentum in a lot of ways, with an upset win over Tulsa. They look to do it again, and they very well may have it this time around.
For Texas, look for Jonathan Gray to rush hard and stun the Iowa State defense, opening up opportunities later on for the passing game to gain access to some serious scores as well. Just don’t expect it to be an easy game in the first half, as the offensive line will need to be careful not to underestimate the Iowa State defense.

Both teams are going to be heading into this with a win on their mind, and both will bring out their best options, however, you’ll find that at home the Iowa team is going to be looking at upset all along, and they have done it once already this season. Last Thursday they did it, will they do it again this time too? The Cyclones winning is something that is intriguing enough to catapult them into the framework as a team to beat. The Texas Longhorns, however, are part of a large program that can definitely throw down, so it’ll be interesting to see who wins. Overall, the edge is going to go to Iowa State at +9 overall.
